{a sweet day}

Got to the hippie store. Bought 2 ounces of Kava Kava and 2 ounces of local bee pollen. Also a jar of Burt's Bees Almond & Milk hand cream. Lovely.  Back when my neighbor was sick with ALS her sister, who came in town to care for her, bought me a jar of this cream. Every night before I went to bed I'd put some on my hands. My nightly ritual.  Calming and a way to put a period on the day. Think I'll renew that routine. I have this thing for rituals anyhow.

Tomorrow taking 2 kids to open bank accounts. And painting the other outside wooden door bright 'Blue Lives Matter' blue. Gorgeous color. Plain gorgeous. The iron doors are getting a fresh coat of high gloss black as well. Next task...paint shutters black too. Re-caulk girls' window and replace a pane. Nuts.

Lots to do, but very satisfying. Silly to have waited till the hottest part of July, though. But it'll look spiffy when it's done.

Now, praying for a new roof. Not because of something happening, but a windfall. Praying for a windfall.

Y'all take care.
