Rainy and quiet, yet not cold, which is grand. One child working, another sleeping in after long retail hours, and the youngest stirring. My husband seems to be taking this week slowly as well. Restoring for everyone.

I enjoy the days between Christmas and New Years. Decorations still up, and not tired of them since we just put up the tree last week. Never have delayed so long. The lull before January the first hounds us into the resolutions mindset. Not interested.

And while 2018 has been, for me personally, about boundaries, I'm looking optimistically toward 2019. Not sure in what way, but a bit encouraged.

I turn 60 in two months. Those decade mile markers are startling, but there's something different about this one. It's more of a 'what the heck' marker. Bought lilac hair color and streaked my gray. Still a lot of brown in my hair, but the way it's made my spirit feel hasn't been positive.

My husband, who's fond of my gray says Enough!  I like to egg him on.

Favorite thing discovered lately:  Trader Joe's tins of sipping chocolate. Oh my.

I'll leave you on that note.
